I decided to stop leaving my health and well-being to the doctors I’ve seen and all the prescription pills they sent me home with. Halina has helped to educate me about how my body is reacting to the environment, foods, allergies, stressors of a past lifestyle in order to instruct me on how I must take charge of what I’m putting into my body in hopes of slowing down the aging and degeneration of my whole body and begin to repair and strengthen the body God has given to me. Degeneration of our body through aging happens over a lifetime. However, my lifestyle was aging my body by over 20 years. We can’t turn back the clock but we can slow down the whole process, repair, re-strengthen and rejuvenate our body through responsible choices. It has been 4 years since I initially walked into Halina’s office. In September of 2002 she moved her Clinic to her home to give more individualized counseling and has added the Biological Terrain Assessment testing to her program. High cholesterol and triglycerides levels

Just wanted to let you know how it went for Ch. when we went for our semiannual checkup at Dr. H. office last week. He was so totally amazed at Ch’s cholesterol counts. A little history to refresh your memory:

In May of [last year], Chuck had a total cholesterol count of 278. His HDL was 34 and triglycerides were 349. His total was 8.2 and should be between 4.0 and 6.7. The Dr. put him on Lipitor for lowering cholesterol. After reading all the terrible side effects, we decided I should talk to Halina about natural herbs. Halina started him on Guggul Lipid and LOCLO Fiber in October [last year]. He faithfully drank the LOCLO each night before bed and he also alternated between Guggul Lipid and Hongqu. [Presently Red Yeast Rice.]

Recently, in April this year, he had blood work done again and the Dr. was totally amazed at how wonderful his counts were. His cholesterol count was 205! His HDL was 41 and triglycerides were 117! His total calculation was 5.0! Dr. said, "What ever you are doing, keep it up"!!!

Heart attack, platelets count too high, by-pass surgery

I had a heart attack in October [last year]. The doctor (oncologist) put me on hydroxyurea because my platelets were too high. Then he prescribed Allopurinal because the hydroxyurea causes gout. In January, I had a double by-pass. I had to continue the medications to keep my platelet count down.

I didn't feel right most of the time. Not really sick, but not good either. The longer I took the medication the worse I felt. My joints started to hurt more every day. By the first part of April, I was willing to try almost anything if it meant I could quit taking the pills I knew were making me sick.

I read the book "Left for Dead," (my sister bought me a copy) and I thought anything is worth a try. I quit taking my prescription on the 10th of April and started taking cayenne pepper [Capsicum] 3, garlic 4, ginger 3, lecithin 4, Vitamin E 1600 units, and 2 baby asprins a day. My platelet count went from 285,000 in March to 267,000 in April.

I have since added more herbs and I feel better each day.

Heart palpitations

I had heart palpitations for approximately 1 year. Three weeks ago, I went on the Nature’s Noni Juice, CoQ10, and Barley Greens. I have had no heart palpitations and am able to sleep better. I can go to bed at 10:00 p.m. and not wake up until 6:00 a.m. I feel great.

Infertility

Three years ago I had trouble conceiving due to ovulation problems. My husband and I had been trying for a year. I didn’t want to go on fertility drugs but I was really at the end of my rope – frustrated, angry and without hope. I walked into your store and asked for your guidance since I had nothing to lose by trying natural alternatives. Under your recommendations, I tried the NF-X and began taking two with each meal along with Dong Quai. The very next month I had undoubtable signs I was ovulating – my body was doing what it was supposed to be doing! But the best part was that I ovulated the next month too – beautifully – and I became pregnant on that second try. In August 1996 I gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Now I’ve ordered a new supply from you – all the way from across the U.S (since I moved away) because I’m trying for my second child and I’m again having problems ovulating. I take the herbs up until right after ovulation and then I stop just in case I conceived and a baby is growing. I hope to be pregnant within a few months.

Sinus problems

On Monday morning I woke with a sinus headache. Having received a bottle of ALJ at Distributors’ School, I started taking the ALJ. My nasal passages began to clear within a day, but the headache persisted. I thought it might take awhile for the ALJ to work on the sinuses, so I continued taking the ALJ. By Thursday the headache had not abated and my eyes were crusted and matted in the mornings with a yellowish mucous. It was obvious that the sinuses were infected. When I saw Halina for my appointment that afternoon, she recommended that I add HIGS II [currently Lymph Gland Cleanse-HY], Feverfew, and Magnesium. I began taking one tablet of the HIGS II and Feverfew, and two tablets of the Magnesium every two hours. That evening I hook a warm bath and massaged my neck and shoulder with the Tei Fu oil as recommended. I put on a turtleneck to help the warming action and fell asleep. What a miracle to wake up the next morning with no headache and my muscles totally relaxed! I was amazed at such quick results. I still had some matting around my eyes, but by the following Sunday that had disappeared as well. This experience helped confirm that the longer-term course of treatment I’ve started for a couple of chronic conditions will also be successful.

Smoking – stopping; breathing better

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for this wonderful, breath-saving product. After 40 years of smoking, my father-in-law was prescribed inhalers, in the attempt to ease his breathing. Vic and Laura quit smoking about 6 years ago, however the inhalers remained and were always a constant reminder of the damage the smoke had done to their lungs as well as their breathing capacity. Smoking – stopping with Lobelia/St. John’s Wort and Tobacco Detox

I have been a closet smoker for seven years. I intellectually knew it was bad for me, however, I continued to smoke. I tried to quit smoking many time unsuccessfully and always felt frustrated and stressed. I felt out of control and my nervous system was whacked.

I set January 1, 1999 as my quitting date and it was this day I decided to go to Herbs the Natural Alternative Center. They recommended Lobelia/St. John’s Wort for me to try.
